Our Thursday small group Bible study is going well...I am still the only guy for now, but we are praying that will change. We do have men coming on Saturday nights, though! We are doing a video series (Liquid) based on the book of James on Thursday's...which is provoking some great dialogue.
Hills of Grace has decided to become involved with the Clothe-a-kid ministry, helping to provide new clothing to needy children for school. Everyone felt that would be a great ministry for us to be involved in.
Last night a screening for the new movie "Fireproof" was held at Rapid Valley Baptist Church. About 40 people representing many different churches and organizations in Rapid City attended. What an awesome movie! We are working to bring it to Rapid City when it opens in September. If it comes, Hills of Grace plans to give away tickets to couples identified during our last block party.
Plans are underway to bring Ned and Joan Way to Hills of Grace in October for a family ministry/evangelistic event. We are working with the school for them to do a Friday assembly with the kids, then have them do a big event with us on Saturday. They do a show of illusions, etc, weaving an evangelistic message throughout.
Continue to pray as we seek God's man for pastor of Hills of Grace. Pray for Joe as he continues to build the worship team. Pray that we can find more to be part of our core group.
