Tonight we just finished holding block party #2 at Valley View. It rained all day, and we knew early on that we would hav to hold the block party inside. The school was great in allowing us to come in and set up in the gym. The school administration and custodians have been a tremendous help with our block parties!
The block party went pretty well, considering it was pouring rain, about 50 degrees, and inside where the no one could see it. We had 35 registered attendees, with 4 stating that they were interested in a new church. That brings the number to 50 that indicated interest in a new church!
Thanks again to the COTES group for doing such a great job in helping - today they prayerwalked and delivered flyers to yet another area of Rapid Valley. Many of those coming tonight stated that they had come because of the flyers. We all had a great time working and seeing the Lord at work!
In other news, the new church has a name! The church will be called "Hills of Grace". In fact, there is a already a new website. http://www.hillsofgrace.com/
The website is pretty basic right now, but will be fully functional soon.
In an upcoming blog, I will let you know of all of the answered prayer that we have all seen this week. Continue praying for the informational/preview service this Saturday night at 7PM. Pray for the worship team, the greeters, the children's workers, and me as I present the message. We are excited about what God is already at work doing. Thanks to all of you for parterning with us in prayer.
Tomorrow the COTES team finishes up it's work with us this week. We wish they could stay for Saturday night! They have gone above and beyond all week. God is truly at work in and through them. Thanks especially to their leader, Mike.
