So far so good!

This week has been great so far with the missions team from COTES (Church on the Eastern Shore) (http://www.cotesonline.org/)

Yesterday they did alot of surveying and prayer walking, handing out flyers for our block parties and informational worship service. God has been good in providing great weather. We have had an EXTREMELY rainy spring, a bit unusual for the Black Hills. We have had rain each day, but when the team has gone out to work, the sun has been shining!

Tonight we had our first block party from 5pm-8pm. We had 112 fill out registration cards for the door prizes. On that card was a place to check if they were interested in a new church starting in the area...46 of the 112 said "yes" - they were interested in a new church start! That is 41 % !!! (Plus 160 hot dogs eaten, and lots of snow cones, popcorn, and chips!)

Tomorrow the team will once again be doing some prayer walking and surveying. Thursday brings another block party. The forecast is for rain and 59 degrees...but the school has said we can hold our block party indoors in the multi-purpose room! That will be the same room we are holding the first worship service.

Be praying for the COTES team as they continue to minister with us this week. Pray for good weather while we are all working together. Pray for our 2nd block party, for good attendance. Pray that the informational service is a great start to our new church.

We need to name our church plant...so any ideas out there, feel free to suggest!

Thanks for your prayers!
Also, check out the Black Hills Missions Facebook group!
