Tonight was the first official preview event for Hills of Grace...lot's of prayer, time, effort, and finances have gone together to make tonight work!
We had close to 30 in attendance, with 5 committing to wanting to be a part of this new work. Even though many from the block party didn't attend, we know that we have planted seeds in this community.
Thanks to Joe Savery and his friend Carlton for helping with the praise band...they did a tremendous job! Interesting note...Carlton's wife and I were in a play at the Matthews Opera House in Spearfish 5 years ago! Small world....
We are now planning for the next stages for Hills of Grace. Pray for us as we determine how God is leading for the next steps. We can do all things through Christ who gives us strength!
Today we had fun taking some of the Wal-Mart cards that were door prizes Thursday night to the winner's. It was interesting to see the look of suspicion turn to joy from the time we arrived at their homes to the time they got a no strings attached Wal-Mart gift card!
Thanks to all who are reading this for your support. Thanks again to the COTES team, who was just getting home about the time we were packing up from tonight. We hope to see them again soon.
